Morocco — the integrated SonixED™ + brine valorization reference.

Morocco is Hydrovolta’s flagship active project. It is the first commercial demonstration of the integrated SonixED™ desalination and downstream brine valorization model — validating both capabilities in a real operating environment simultaneously.

Saline water desalination with integrated brine valorization

Seawater-intruded coastal aquifers at approximately 7,000 ppm TDS. SonixED™ delivers saline water desalination for irrigation and drinking water supply. Residual concentrated brine is processed through downstream valorization for chemical recovery. Performance tracked through site-specific operating data.

Western Australia’s primary water utility contracted Hydrovolta for a paid pilot following 18 months of technical evaluation. Hydrovolta’s primary institutional reference for water utilities internationally.

Selective nitrate and salinity removal across three public utility sites in the Perth metropolitan area. Treated water supplied for drinking, irrigation, agriculture, and livestock. Cloud telemetry active for remote monitoring and automated compliance logging. Contracted following an intensive 18-month utility-grade technical appraisal.

Development-stage pilot evaluating magnesium and calcium valorization from desalination brine. Target outputs: Mg(OH)₂ and Ca(OH)₂ recovered for remineralisation of permeate water — a closed-loop water quality improvement pathway. MOU signed; pilot design in progress.
